TKMS ATLAS UK is looking for a Junior Buyer to join our Service and Support Supply Chain team at Dorset Innovation Park. Reporting to the Service and Support Supply Chain Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to develop your procurement and supply chain skills while supporting the team in ensuring suppliers deliver the right products, at the right time and to the required quality.

What you'll do

Working as part of the Service and Support Supply Chain team, you will support the purchasing process from sourcing and quotation through to purchase order placement, expediting and supplier management. You will work with experienced colleagues and suppliers, developing your understanding of procurement while helping to maintain continuity of supply and meet customer delivery and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the placement and management of purchase orders.
  • Helping to expedite orders and maintain continuity of supply.
  • Assisting with product sourcing and obtaining supplier quotations.
  • Supporting the monitoring of supplier performance across quality, delivery and cost.

  • Supporting spares logistics, including packaging and transportation arrangements.
  • Maintaining accurate data within the ERP system.
  • Analysing procurement and supply chain data using tools such as Excel.

  • Ensuring purchasing activities comply with legislative, regulatory and corporate requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
