At Pets at Home, we're always looking ahead. From pet tech and personalised products to exciting brand collaborations and innovative dropship partnerships, we're creating products and experiences that make life better for pets and the people who love them.
We're looking for a commercially curious Buyer to lead our Emerging Categories Accessories portfolio, shaping new opportunities across Dog, Cat and Specialist Pets while driving growth in some of our most exciting and fast-evolving categories.
About the role
This is a unique opportunity to own and grow categories that sit at the forefront of customer trends and innovation. You'll develop strategies, build partnerships and bring new propositions to life across areas including:
- Pet Tech
- Dropship
- Licensing & Brand Collaborations
- Gifting
- Personalisation
- Pet Parenting & Lifestyle Accessories
As the buying lead for Dropship, you'll define the strategy and work across our specialist buying teams to unlock commercial opportunities, expand customer choice and deliver a seamless customer proposition.
You'll also identify emerging trends, launch innovative products & partnerships, and ensure our accessories ranges continue to excite pet parents while delivering strong commercial performance.

We can offer hybrid working (three office days per week) from our Support Office in Handforth, Cheshire.
What you'll be doing
- Developing and delivering strategies for Emerging Categories Accessories
- Leading our Dropship proposition across Accessories, identifying opportunities to grow range and customer choice
- Owning and growing the Pet Tech category, bringing new products and innovations to market
- Building relationships with licensing partners, brands and agencies to create exclusive collections and collaborations
- Developing new opportunities across gifting, personalisation and pet lifestyle products
- Managing supplier relationships and negotiating commercially successful agreements
- Working closely with Buying, Merchandising, Marketing, Technical, Visual Merchandising and Multi-Channel teams to bring new ideas to life
About you
You'll be an experienced Buyer with strong commercial instincts and a passion for identifying what's next.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Buying experience within Retail, FMCG, Home or Fashion
- Strong commercial awareness and category management skills
- Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing key partnerships
- A track record of identifying trends and turning them into successful commercial opportunities
- The ability to influence stakeholders and build strong relationships internally and externally
- A customer-first mindset combined with creativity, innovation and attention to detail
