Buyer – Long Lead
Manchester | Office-based
Salary: £45,000
Overview
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Buyer with a strong long-lead fashion background to join a fast-paced, growing fashion business. Experience across knitwear, coats/outerwear, and denim is essential.
Responsibilities
- Full ownership of categories from development through to sign-off and trade.
- Manage product development and long-lead critical paths.
- Oversee fittings, sign-offs, and product amendments.
- Manage supplier relationships, pricing, and order chasing.
- Monitor sales, KPIs, and bestseller performance.
- Lead category trading and make commercially driven decisions.
- Manage and develop junior members of the team.
- Attend trade meetings and overseas buying trips.

Requirements
- Proven experience at Buyer level within fashion.
- Strong long-lead buying experience.
- Experience across knitwear, coats/outerwear, and/or denim.
- Strong commercial and trend awareness.
- Confident supplier negotiation and management skills.
- Experience managing junior team members.
- Overseas buying trip experience.
- Highly organised, proactive, and commercially focused.
