Buyer – Consumer Electricals

The Role

We're looking for an experienced and commercially driven Buyer to take ownership of a growing Consumer Technology category. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for innovative, everyday technology products that enhance modern living, from charging solutions and personal audio to smart home accessories, travel technology and personal mobility products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a category strategy that delivers sustainable sales and profit growth.
  • Identify market trends, customer insights and emerging technologies to shape future product ranges.
  • Lead the development and launch of new own-brand products, managing the process from supplier selection and product design through to market launch.
  • Source products from international suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, pricing and supply agreements to maximise profitability.
  • Take ownership of category trading performance, including sales, margin, stock availability and inventory management.
  • Build strong supplier partnerships to secure innovative products, competitive pricing and reliable supply.
  • Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, quality assurance and supply chain teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing category performance.
  • Continuously review the product assortment to identify opportunities for improvement, rationalisation and growth.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
