Our client, a leading player in the consumer products space, is looking for a commercial, creative, and fast-paced Buyer to join their Product Development team.
If you have a background in toy development, licensed products, or Far East sourcing, this is a brilliant opportunity to drive end-to-end product ranges and lead a talented junior team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conceptualise fresh ideas and play patterns, translating market trends and brand guidelines into high-performing product ranges.
- Work closely with Far East suppliers, negotiate tooling and production costs, and optimise margin structures to hit commercial targets.
- Brief UK and Hong Kong design teams, partner with QA/Engineering on product safety, and manage critical paths from concept to delivery.
- Line-manage and mentor a Product Assistant (with potential to oversee a Junior Product Manager).
- Visit international trade shows, factory sites, and the company's Hong Kong office to accelerate development and build supplier relationships.

What Our Client is Looking For
- Direct experience or a genuine passion for toys, gameplay mechanics, and character-driven products.
- Strong margin analysis, pricing strategy, and cost negotiation skills within UK and global markets.
- Proven track record of managing supplier relationships and critical paths across overseas factories.
- Experience mentoring junior team members and presenting ranges confidently to senior stakeholders and retail partners.
