Behind every Aston Martin is a network of suppliers, commercial partnerships, and strategic decisions that help deliver the extraordinary.

We're looking for a Buyer (Direct) to join our Procurement team at Gaydon. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a key procurement area, working with suppliers, stakeholders, and programme teams to help deliver the products, services, and components that support one of the world's most iconic luxury brands.

Procurement at Aston Martin is a business-critical function. The decisions we make influence profitability, programme delivery, quality, and operational performance. As a Buyer, you'll play an important role in securing the best commercial outcomes, building strong supplier relationships, and ensuring Aston Martin continues to deliver excellence across every area of the business.

You'll be responsible for developing and executing sourcing and commodity strategies across your Direct Procurement category, remaining closely connected to market developments, emerging suppliers, industry trends, and legislative changes. Through strong commercial awareness and data-driven analysis, you'll help shape sourcing decisions that support both short and long-term business objectives.

Working closely with colleagues from across the organization, you'll provide commercial expertise and procurement support to cross-functional teams, helping ensure programmes are delivered successfully, risks are mitigated, and value is maximized at every stage of the process.

You'll lead negotiations with existing and prospective suppliers, securing commercially advantageous agreements while maintaining the highest standards of quality, cost, and delivery. Building trusted supplier relationships will be central to your success, helping create a resilient and high-performing supply base capable of supporting Aston Martin's ambitions both today and in the future.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We're looking for someone with previous procurement experience and a passion for delivering commercial value. Experience within the automotive industry would be advantageous, but it isn't essential. You'll be commercially aware, highly organized, and comfortable working with data to support decision-making. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to influence stakeholders and navigate a fast-paced and evolving business environment.

A degree-level qualification is required, while full CIPS membership or progress towards achieving it would be advantageous. You'll also hold a full driving licence and be willing to travel when business needs require.
