Experienced and Dynamic Buyer for Fine Watches Team
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Buyer to join our Fine Watches team here at Harrods. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and manage our luxury watch portfolio, driving the brand and product proposition across all channels—store, online, and airports.
About the Role
Harrods is embarking on an extraordinary transformation with the complete redesign of our Fine Jewellery and Watch rooms into a breath-taking two floor destination. This multi million pound project will feature soaring double storey boutiques and Europe’s first curved escalators, creating an experience unlike anything in luxury retail. In the heart of our iconic Knightsbridge store, we are building a space that will inspire clients and showcase the world’s most exceptional pieces. Last year, Harrods announced its most ambitious transformation in decades: the complete redesign of our Fine Jewellery and Watch rooms into a spectacular two-floor destination. Featuring soaring double-storey boutiques and Europe’s first curved escalators, this multi-million-pound project will set a new benchmark for luxury retail. The space will offer an immersive, world-class shopping experience in the heart of our iconic Knightsbridge store. Aimed at cementing Harrods as the premier global destination for hard luxury, it reflects the rapid growth and resilience of the fine jewellery and watches sector.

Your Duties
Working closely with the Buying Manager, Merchandising and Retail teams you will ensure all decisions are commercially sound, drive trade and ensure an optimum customer experience.
Your duties will also include:
- Planning and selecting product according to customer demand, trends, budget, and divisional strategy across channels and locations.
- Working closely with the concession partner to ensure the product offer is aligned to Harrods’ strategy and wherever possible exclusive product is included in the range.
- Planning pop-ups and soft-shop concepts for brands.
- Supporting the Buying Manager negotiations and plan vendor shop fits, taking into consideration brand adjacencies and sales densities.
- Working with TSD on design, merchandise capacity and installation timings.
- Attending buying appointments to select product and quantify orders using sales and sell through analysis.
- Preparing and reviewing agendas and materials ahead of brand meetings, ensuring airport and online data is also referenced.
Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

About You
You will have expert knowledge of the Buying Cycle as well as the needs of the Fine Watches Category. You will also have a good understanding of a corporate business, our customer profiles and strategic development. You will be commercially aware, able to demonstrate when you have driven trade across your current department and have impeccable relationship building skills.

You will also:
- Have a Proven track record in fine watch buying within the luxury sector.
- Be able to demonstrate effective leadership, able to inspire, nurture and develop a high performing team.
- Be happy to travel frequently to Buying appointments, trade fairs, TVDC and vendor meetings.
- Have a creative, solution based approach.
- Be PC Literate (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and SAP)
