Are you passionate about products and ready to drive category growth? Join Pets at Home as a Buyer in our Pet Food Trading team.

About the Role

As a Buyer, you'll take full ownership of sales, margin targets, and supplier relationships for a strategically important growth category. You'll negotiate trading terms, develop innovative ranges (including own brand), and create customer-driven strategies that set us apart from competitors. We can offer hybrid working from our Support Office in Handforth, Cheshire.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing category strategies to drive sales and profit
  • Building strong relationships with domestic and global suppliers, negotiating and agreeing annual trading terms
  • Managing branded and own-brand product ranges
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams across Supply, Merchandising, and Marketing
  • Monitoring market pricing and creating effective promotional plans

About you

  • Experience in a buying role, ideally in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)
  • Proven ability to develop own-brand ranges and negotiate supplier terms
  • Strong commercial acumen with a passion for products
  • Ability to work across both digital and in-store retail channels
