Rate: £190 per day PAYE
Contract Duration: Until July 2027
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Buyer to join a busy procurement team supporting site operations and project delivery within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to play a key role in sourcing activities, supplier management, cost optimisation, and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Engineering, Quality and Operations to ensure the successful delivery of procurement solutions that support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary procurement contact for the site, managing procurement requests and supporting purchasing decisions.
- Lead and support sourcing activities, including supplier engagement, quotation analysis, negotiations and supplier selection.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuring delivery, quality and compliance standards are met.
- Support cost reduction and cash improvement initiatives through market analysis, supplier negotiations and purchase price variance reviews.
- Assist with supplier risk management and continuity planning to ensure security of supply.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver procurement solutions that support operational and project requirements.
- Maintain compliance with company procurement policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Support procurement activity across indirect spend, capital expenditure and MRO categories where required.

Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain within a complex or multi-site organisation.
- Experience managing sourcing activities, RFQs, supplier evaluations and procurement processes.
- Ability to analyse costs, budgets and purchase price variances to identify value opportunities.
- Strong supplier relationship management and performance monitoring experience.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Experience working within a regulated environment or with regulated suppliers.
- Strong communication, organisational and analytical skills.

Desirable Experience
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience using procurement systems such as SAP, Ariba or similar ERP platforms.
- Exposure to capital projects, manufacturing procurement, indirect spend or MRO categories.
- Experience supporting supplier risk management and business continuity activities.
