This position is responsible for implementing the overall sub-commodity strategy defined with and under the supervision of the Category Manager. To ensure the competitiveness of one or more product families, this position aims at identifying cost reduction opportunities through scouting of new suppliers, benchmark activities, and contracts negotiation with existing ones. Ensure supplier's good performance (cost, delivery, quality, warranty) in alignment with relevant teams' requirements (materials management, supply continuity, supplier quality, warranty recovery, engineering and after-sales). Support New Product Introduction (NPI) with collaborating with NPI, Engineering and Product life cycle management. With a strong emphasis on the continued reduction of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), you will apply your commercial expertise and market insight to ensure the ongoing competitiveness of the business. This will be achieved without compromising the Group’s core values or the continuity of supply of products and services to our operations. As part of the role, you will proactively engage with key internal and external stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain and financial risks within the vendor base, ensuring resilience, stability, and long-term value for the business

Your Impact:

  • Develop and manage professional relationships with suppliers under direct responsibilities and be the "one face" to the supplier for requirements from all Sparex delivery locations
  • Reach Cost savings targets, support process improvement initiatives and ensure cost management avoiding cost divergences
  • Identify best sources for part quotation, develop and execute RFQ to support on time/cost/delivery requirements and selecting best supplier for every necessity ensuring local and global alignment prior to sourcing approval
  • Source timely and cost effectively new components as part of NPI process and Conduct negotiations with suppliers on specific terms and LTAs (Long Term Agreements)
  • Contribute to sub-categories strategy development and implementation within the category team and Develop purchase bids for multiple projects while interacting with the stakeholders (engineering, quality, logistics, manufacturing, after-sales, project managers, etc.)

Your Experience and Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably), Business Administration or any other business area
  • 4-5 years Minimum Level of experience Required
  • Good, structured communication Negotiation, experience in Purchasing; hands on and result driven, Good Professional Attitude, Team player and good listener
  • At least basic understanding of technical drawings and specifications
  • Proficient user of MS Office applications, especially Excel; knowledge of SAP would be an asset
  • Ability to communicate in English in written and spoken form. Any other additional language (French, Italian, German preferable)
