Hays are partnering with a highly innovative and well-established manufacturing organisation to recruit a Buyer to join their growing Supply Chain team in Belfast. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global business that develops cutting-edge technology solutions and supplies customers worldwide.
Your new role
As Buyer, you will be responsible for the timely procurement of goods and services to support production requirements. You will manage supplier relationships, place and expedite purchase orders, negotiate pricing and commercial terms, monitor supplier performance, and resolve material shortages. Working closely with production, materials control and wider business functions, you will ensure supply chain continuity whilst supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining accurate ERP system data.

What you'll need to succeed
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a purchasing or procurement role
- Experience sourcing and procuring a broad range of products and services
- Strong supplier management and relationship-building skills
- Experience negotiating prices and commercial terms
- Previous experience using ERP or MRP systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to analyse spend data and supplier performance metrics
- A proactive, team-focused approach with a positive attitude
