We have partnered with a construction business in Wembley, North West London to appoint a Buyer - Materials and Plant.
You will be required on-site 5 days per week and the working hours are 7am - 4.30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Order materials, plant and services
- Check materials and stock levels in the warehouse
- Take deliveries and check paperwork/quantities and coordinate deliveries across all sites
- Purchase and hire plant for all sites and keep records
- Allocate invoices for construction projects across London and keep a record of all procurement quotes
- Prepare material cost files for projects and materials schedule
- Oversee operations/schedule of drivers, yard men and foreman
- Order PPE, keep all vehicles maintained and maintain documentation regarding Plant PAT Testing
- Work with the Contracts Managers to manage the material and plant schedules

Experience:
- Experience in the construction sector or a transferable industry
- Buyer/Plant/Procurement/Logistics/Warehousing/Construction or stock control experience
- Excellent I.T and administrative skills
- Great communication skills with the ability to negotiate, buy and sell
- Hard-working, intelligent, sharp and helpful
- Keep the yard organised, neat and tidy
