Role Description
The Buyer & Scheduling Agent is a full-time, on-site role based in Steeple Bumpstead. This role is responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for fire and electrical projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement. The Buyer & Scheduling Agent will coordinate job schedules, align engineer availability with project timelines, and update internal systems to reflect current work planning. Daily tasks include:

- Maintaining supplier relationships

The role also involves:
- Communicating with internal teams and customers regarding scheduling updates
- Resolving any logistical issues
- Contributing to continuous improvement of procurement and scheduling processes
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Experience with sales processes, including negotiation and vendor management, supporting effective purchasing decisions.
- Organisational and scheduling skills, with experience in coordinating field teams or service engineers.
- Proficiency with office software and scheduling/ERP systems, with attention to detail in data entry and documentation.
- Ability to work on-site in Steeple Bumpstead, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant experience in procurement, operations coordination, or administration within technical, construction, or service industries is preferred.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills; formal education or training in business, supply chain, or a related field is an advantage.
