Rare Career Opportunity! Buyer / Senior Buyer - Giftware
Due to expansion we’re looking for an experienced buyer to join our team!
Joe Davies is an employee-owned importer and distributor of giftware to the independent retail trade. Established over 100 years ago, we’ve built a reputation for outstanding customer service and an ever-evolving range of over 10,000 product lines across multiple brands.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, values-driven company and take ownership across a range of buying collections.
What You’ll Do:
- Find and develop new products across multiple gifting categories, from home to occasion giftware.
- Build strong relationships with existing suppliers and develop new suppliers.
- Undertake extensive Far East visits to factories and trade shows.
- Represent Joe Davies at trade shows and customer events.

What We’re Looking For:
- Someone with a keen commercial eye for product and extensive experience in a wholesale, distribution or retail buying environment.
- A proven track record in giftware.
- Ability to develop a range.
- Far East experience with a willingness to travel.
- Understand and have experience of importing.
- Experience in Licensing development / working with an artist an advantage.
- A professional, customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated, organised, and enthusiastic — a genuine people person.
- A strong track record of developing and maintaining successful business relationships.
