Buyer Services Manager

Location: Northampton
Field Based with regular branch and customer travel

At Cox Automotive, we're transforming the way the automotive industry buys, sells, owns, and uses vehicles. We're looking for a commercially minded Buyer Services Manager to join our Northampton team and play a pivotal role in driving buyer engagement, auction performance, and customer growth.

This is an exciting opportunity for a relationship-focused sales professional with experience in automotive, remarketing, auctions, fleet, or dealer services who thrives on developing customer partnerships and delivering outstanding results.

About the Role

As a Buyer Services Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of buyers, increasing participation across our sales channels, and ensuring customers receive a first-class experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Growing active buyer numbers and transaction volumes across your customer portfolio.
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with dealers and key buying customers.
  • Driving provisional sale performance and improving conversion rates.
  • Supporting the resolution of buyer queries, complaints, and arbitration cases.
  • Analysing sales performance data and implementing strategies for improvement.
  • Working closely with branch management, operational teams, and marketing colleagues to maximise buyer engagement.
  • Promoting the wider Cox Automotive product portfolio and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Visiting customers regularly to understand their needs and strengthen partnerships.

About You

We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • A proven track record in sales, account management, or business development.
  • Experience within automotive, auctions, vehicle remarketing, fleet, or dealer services.
  • Excellent relationship-building and networking skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience influencing and motivating others to achieve targets.
  • A customer-first mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • The ability to analyse performance metrics and turn insights into action.
