Overview of the role

Join Wardles, part of Bestway Healthcare, and play a key role in growing our surgical category and developing new sourcing opportunities across the UK and Europe.

Wardles was the UK’s first Dispensing Appliance Contractor and is a sister company to Bestway Medhub. We work closely with pharmacies and dispensing doctors, helping them increase the margin they make on over 4,000 of their most commonly stocked products.

We're now looking for a PI Surgical Buyer to join our Commercial Team and lead buying and procurement activity across Wardles' surgical category, with particular accountability for parallel import (PI) purchasing.

This is a hands-on commercial role, combining procurement, supplier negotiation and category development. You'll be responsible for sourcing products, developing new UK and European supply routes, managing supplier relationships and identifying opportunities to improve availability, resilience and margin.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage buying and procurement across Wardles’ surgical category, including branded and PI products.
  • Develop new UK and European PI supply routes and build strong supplier relationships.
  • Negotiate pricing, volumes, lead times and commercial terms to improve margin and supply.
  • Manage purchase orders, supplier performance, stock levels and product availability.
  • Identify new products and commercial opportunities to develop the surgical portfolio.
  • Work with internal teams to align buying decisions with demand, stock and customer requirements.
  • Resolve supplier, delivery, pricing and invoice issues quickly and effectively.
  • Use data and market insight to support procurement decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate product, supplier, pricing and procurement records.
  • Attend supplier meetings, exhibitions and industry events where required.
  • Support wider commercial and procurement activities across the team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
