As a Buyer at Screwfix, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping category performance and influencing decisions at board level.
Sitting within our Trading team, you’ll be at the heart of Screwfix’s exciting transformation into a truly omnichannel business. With cutting-edge fulfilment, data-driven decision making, and bold sustainability initiatives, we’re reimagining retail for today and tomorrow.
This is a 12 month FTC or Secondment opportunity.

Responsibilities
About You
You’re a commercially minded, customer-focused professional with a proven track record in buying, trading, or category management. You’re strategic yet hands-on—able to build strong commercial plans, spot opportunities in the data, and negotiate deals that deliver real results.

Qualifications
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience in retail trading, buying, or category management
- A strong grasp of commercial strategy and delivery
- Excellent supplier management and negotiation skills
- A knack for turning data and insight into action
- Confidence working in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with clear and engaging reporting
