Position: Buyer

We are currently seeking an experienced Buyer for a permanent opportunity based in Warrington. The successful candidate must have a strong civil engineering buying background and experience procuring materials and services within the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure materials, plant, and services for civil engineering projects
- Source suppliers and negotiate competitive prices and terms
- Manage purchase orders and ensure materials are delivered in line with project programmes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
- Work closely with commercial and operational teams to meet project requirements
- Monitor costs and identify opportunities to achieve best value

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Buyer within civil engineering (essential)
- Strong knowledge of civils materials, suppliers, and procurement processes
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costs
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple project requirements and deadlines

Salary
£40,000–£45,000 per annum Permanent position
