I’m working with a fast-growing online retail group that is entering a really exciting period of growth - and they’re now building out their Buying function from the ground up.
The business operates across a number of established online retail brands and are now investing heavily in the Buying team, making this a great opportunity to join at an early stage and help shape how the function develops.
🛒 The Buyer role
They’re looking for a commercially minded Buyer with FMCG, Beauty or Tech buying experience who knows how to spot a good deal and is confident working with suppliers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why consider it?
This isn't simply joining an established Buying team and taking over an existing category. You're joining while the team is being built.
There is genuine scope to have an influence on how the Buying function operates, the suppliers they work with, the deals they secure and the direction the business takes as it continues to grow.
