🌍 Who we are

We’re IAG Loyalty – one organisation with two ambitious, growing divisions across Loyalty and Holidays. Each has its own goals, strategy and team, but together we’re united by a shared vision to create a more rewarding world of travel and experiences.

Our Loyalty division is home to Avios, the global loyalty currency, enabling millions of members to collect and spend rewards across travel, retail and financial services.

This role sits within our Retail team, helping us grow the range of products and experiences our members can access using Avios.

We're on an exciting journey of growth and transformation – and we'd love you to be part of it.

✨ The opportunity

We're looking for a Buyer to help us take our product proposition to the next level.

You'll bring the foundations of great buying – strong commercial judgement, sourcing, negotiation, range management and supplier relationships – alongside the curiosity and creativity to spot what we could do next.

You'll identify new categories, products and partnerships that could excite our customers, build the commercial case behind them and bring those opportunities to life. That means being comfortable moving from an idea or customer trend through to supplier conversations, commercials, stakeholder buy-in and ultimately launch.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys having ownership, challenging what's possible and building something new, while still being grounded in strong commercial buying principles.

🚀 What you'll be doing

  • Identifying new categories, ranges, brands and product opportunities that could grow our Retail proposition.
  • Owning the commercial performance of your categories, delivering against revenue, margin and profitability targets.
  • Using customer insight, market trends and competitor activity to spot opportunities and shape compelling product ranges.
  • Sourcing new products and suppliers and building strong, commercially valuable supplier partnerships.
  • Negotiating pricing, terms, lead times and commercial agreements to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and the business.
  • Building compelling commercial proposals and confidently presenting new range and growth opportunities to senior stakeholders.
  • Working closely with Merchandising to optimise ranges, identify gaps and respond quickly to performance and customer demand.
  • Bringing a creative, solutions-focused mindset – testing ideas, challenging existing thinking and finding new ways to drive growth.
  • Planning seasonal and tactical promotions alongside Merchandising and Marketing.
  • Managing the end-to-end buying process and critical path to ensure products launch successfully and on time.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve profitability through sourcing, supplier negotiations and range optimisation.
  • Coaching and supporting a Buying Administrator across category administration and supplier processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

🌈 We might not be right for you if…

  • You prefer working within established ranges rather than looking for what could come next.
  • You're most comfortable following an existing buying playbook rather than building, testing and evolving new ideas.
  • You're looking for a role focused purely on supplier management rather than taking ownership of commercial growth.
  • You prefer working independently rather than bringing people with you and influencing across the business.

If you think you have what it takes but don't meet every single requirement, we'd still love to hear from you.
