Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Buyer/Sales role based at the Watford branch. The Buyer/Sales team member will source and purchase electrical products from approved suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, reliable supply, and appropriate stock levels for customer demand. The role includes handling customer enquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders, and providing product advice in person, by phone, and via email. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve building strong relationships with customers and suppliers, coordinating deliveries, monitoring inventory, and supporting the branch in meeting sales and margin targets. The successful candidate will contribute to a positive branch environment, uphold high service standards, and follow company procedures and health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

- Experience in purchasing or procurement, including negotiating prices, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining stock levels.
- Background in sales or account management, with skills in customer service, relationship building, and handling enquiries and quotations.
- Basic understanding of electrical products or a strong willingness to learn, supported by the ability to interpret technical information.
- Competence with IT systems, including order processing, inventory management software, and standard office applications.
- Strong communication, numeracy, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, contribute to branch targets, and adapt in a fast-paced trade counter environment.
- Previous experience in wholesale, distribution, or trade counter roles is an advantage; vocational or academic qualifications in business, purchasing, or a related field are beneficial.
