About the Role

Are you an organised Administrator with a keen eye for detail and confident Excel skills? We're looking for a Buying Administrator to join a busy purchasing/procurement team, providing essential administrative support to Buyers and helping to keep day-to-day activities running smoothly. This is a long term temporary role, based in Yeovil. You can also work hybrid hours, once trained.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administration skills who enjoys working with data, coordinating meetings and supporting a wider team.

Responsibilities

As a Buying Administrator, you will provide day-to-day administrative support to the Buyers and wider procurement team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting Buyers with their day-to-day activities and administration.
  • Arranging meetings and coordinating diaries.
  • Sending technical drawings and relevant documentation to suppliers.
  • Completing security forms for visitors.
  • Completing catering forms for visiting supplier meetings.
  • Taking notes and minutes during meetings.
  • Running reports and KPI information and distributing these to the team and wider departments.
  • Expediting responses to team requirements.
  • Reviewing and monitoring supplier qualification information.
  • Drafting letters and correspondence on behalf of Buyers.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring information is communicated efficiently.

Requirements

We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and confident working with different teams and suppliers. Previous experience within buying, procurement, purchasing or a busy administration environment would be beneficial, but is not essential.

You should have:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Confident communication skills.
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills - Experience using VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables in Excel is ideally required.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A professional and helpful approach when dealing with colleagues and suppliers.
