Buying Assistant
Birmingham
Up to £30,000 DOE
I am currently recruiting for a Buying Assistant to join a well-established retailer to join the team based within their Midlands head office. You will be responsible for assisting the Buying Team to ensure continued growth within the category. As a Buying Assistant, you will need to be driven and dynamic and thrive working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Providing support to the Buying department
- Creating new product listings on the system
- Raising and inputting supplier invoices
- Assisting in collating promotional information from suppliers to build the promotional pack for each category
- Collating and inputting supplier information
- Work cross-functionally with Buying & logistics to ensure departmental relationships are maintained
- Liaising with internal customers, suppliers, and other departments
- Reviewing pricing & analysing figures within Excel
- Maintaining data records and files

Key Requirements
- Experience within Buying or a relevant degree
- Highly accurate with a good attention to detail
- Ability to manage a varied workload with conflicting deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels
- Good level of education – degree is preferable
- Excellent understanding of all MS Office products, specifically Excel
