Buying Assistant- Own Brand | Head Office

The objective of the Buying Assistant for Own Brand is to support with the brand management and product development of all arms of product developed under the Space NK Brand.

This includes multi-brand sets such as our Advent Calendar and our beauty edit program, as well as our Hand & Body, Accessories, and Holiday Gifting assortments.

The role reports into the Buyer for the category.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

Ownership of the Own Brand Pipeline and Process Management

  • End to end ownership of the product set-up process & critical path for all own brand launches.
  • Keep all internal trackers up to date with any pipeline / NPD updates and work with Suppliers to obtain all the relevant information for set up.
  • Ensure all products are set up correctly using the tools that the business has employed – including Navision and Salesforce.
  • Support with research/competitor reviews for future product trends and present back to the buying and merch team.
  • Liaise with key external stakeholders to ensure key sign off dates and feedback any sign off notes to the supplier.
  • Liaise with external and internal stakeholders to manage samples.
  • Build strong working relationships cross function
  • Liaise with Suppliers and be the main point of contact for any ad hoc queries.

Support on Multi-Brand Box and Advent Programmes

  • Manage the critical path and escalating any issues when necessary to key stakeholders.
  • Work with Merchandising, Warehouse and any third-party suppliers to manage stock deliveries are on track from brands.
  • Organise samples for the Assistant Buyer and liaise with the studio team to ensure product samples are handed over in line with critical path dates.

Contribute to Commercial planning

  • Review & present to the buyer retail pricing analysis to contribute to the product pricing strategy.
  • When submitting proposals for marketing support or promotional activations consider margin and considering how to drive trading margin performance.
  • Monitor customer performance and sales uplift on planned activations e.g. GWPs and promotional activities.
  • Identify opportunities for improved commercial performance across all touch points – including ecommerce customer journey, store journey, stock availability, product performance, or marketing / PR initiatives

Stock Management

  • Support with any internal stock requests e.g. events, PR or GWPs and liase with the DC to action.

KPIs

  • New customer acquisition through sampling initiatives.
  • New products launched on time and accurately.

Required Attributes, Skills, and Experience

A strong candidate for the Buying Assistant role would have the following attributes, skills, and experience:

  • Organization skills to manage and deliver multiple tasks
  • Adherence to timelines
  • Diligence and accuracy in delivery
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to support interactions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial, self-starter who can identify opportunities and think end-to-end
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Passion for beauty industry, brands, and products
  • Entry level experience in the beauty or fashion industry is preferred but not required.
