A fast fashion online clothing brand is looking to recruit a Buyer Assistant/ Assistant Buyer to join their growing team. The purpose of this role is to offer full support to the Buyer in developing a product offer that meets customer requirements and maximizes sales and profit opportunities. The Brand is growing significantly and requires a keen product eye. You will be working with a range of products including softs, wovens, knitwear, outerwear, active, and accessories.

The Role

• Assist the Product Development process from Design brief to launch.
• Liaise with Design, Marketing, and other relevant departments.
• Negotiate the best cost price to achieve departmental margin targets.
• Understand product trends and interpret them where relevant into product areas.
• Attend Fit sessions in the Buyer's absence to give styling comments.
• Manage Suppliers including monitoring sampling requirements.
• Negotiate and liaise with Suppliers.
• Manage the critical path and make adaptations to react to market changes and challenges.
• Monitor, maintain, and action competitor analysis (comparative shopping).
• Deal with issues arising with orders both internally and externally.
• Process samples received (fits, development, shoots/meetings).
• Label, log, organize, and file samples including press and bought.
• Prepare samples for best sellers.
• Compile and prepare meeting samples.
• Other duties as required.
