Drayton Partners are thrilled to be partnering with a high growth, digitally native ecommerce business in the appointment of a Buying Director.
Joining the senior leadership team, you will own the end to end buying agenda, having a genuinely broad remit as the leading product role appointment in the business.
Responsibilities
- Owning the end to end buying strategy, translating long term vision into clear category direction, range architecture and option level plans.
- Leading cross functional alignment across product, creative, commercial, supply chain and analytics to ensure clarity and consistent execution.
- Partnering closely with design to balance creative ambition with commercial and operational reality.
- Setting standards across quality, materials, margin and timelines, ensuring disciplined critical path delivery.
- Leading global supplier and sourcing strategy with accountability for quality, cost, scalability and delivery.
- Using data and insight to guide trading decisions and continuous product evolution across sales, margin, stock and customer sentiment.

Requirements
- Significant senior level buying leadership experience within a direct to consumer ecommerce environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with confidence managing margin, performance and investment decisions.
- High level of data fluency, with the ability to translate insight into clear, actionable product decisions.
- Proven experience leading and developing cross functional product, buying and technical teams.

This role will be based in London, with 3 days a week in office.
