Reporting to: Senior Buyer

Location: Head Office, White City Place, West London

Contract Type: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week (12 month contract)

About The Role

ME+EM is seeking a Buying Intern for a one-year, paid internship. This role involves providing vital and accurate administrative support to our Buying team.

Key Responsibilities

Sample Management

  • Sample Housekeeping ensuring all samples are filed correctly in the relevant cupboard/ room/ season.
  • Maintain organization of the archive room.
  • Do seasonal archiving per department in preparation for internal sample sale.
  • Collate samples and create packing lists to send stock back to the warehouse.
  • Supporting the team with the organization of sample sales and assisting on the day of the event.
  • Ensure the product studio, buying area, and fit rooms are kept tidy and clear of excess samples/ CADS/ fabric swatches.
  • To pull out lab dips/bulk swatches for buyers/designers' approvals and manage the filing system.

Post

  • Log all samples received at head office in the sample tracker (In & Out, fit, shoot, press) from the suppliers/warehouse and distribute accordingly.
  • To manage all in and out post.
  • Update the fit list and team with received samples to fit.
  • Order DHL supplies.
  • Help assist other departments in booking couriers.

Fits

  • Ensure all fit samples (and any additional reference samples) are prepared, steamed, and on the fit rail in advance of the fit meetings.
  • Pull out previous fit samples/archive for the Design & Technical team when requested.
  • Send all samples back to the supplier/warehouse in a timely fashion.

Meetings

  • Ensure the Proto & Pre-production meeting samples are steamed, labeled, and presented on a rail in advance of the meetings.
  • Pull out relevant samples for the concept store per month.
  • Ensure samples are pulled out for additional meetings in a timely manner.

Shoots

  • Assist with pulling out previous season samples for pre-prod/shoots.
  • Assist with packing up samples for shoots out of office and support marketing with the return of samples.
  • Collate bulk samples or fabric/yarns for retouches following the book shoots.
  • Send and receive all photo shoot samples to Twenty Twenty ensuring each sample is labeled correctly and logged on the Twenty Twenty tracker.
