Buying Manager
Location: Waterlooville, Hampshire (Office Based)
Salary: £45,000–£55,000 DOE
Permanent | Full Time
About the Role
John Rothery Wholesale (trading as Bisley UK) is seeking an experienced Buying Manager to take ownership of our buying function. Buying has historically been managed jointly by the Managing Director and business owner. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will receive a structured handover before assuming responsibility for buying across approximately 4,000 products.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage buying, purchasing and supplier relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, rebates and trading agreements.
- Manage stock investment and purchasing schedules.
- Analyse sales and stock trends.
- Identify new products and suppliers.
- Work closely with Sales, Warehouse and Finance.
- Represent the business at supplier meetings and trade shows.
About You
- Buying, Senior Buyer or Procurement experience.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Supplier management experience.
- Wholesale or distribution experience desirable.
- Industry experience helpful but not essential.
