Buying Manager for Morrisons
As the Buying Manager for Morrisons, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our biscuits category. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and optimize the range of products, ensuring we offer our customers the best selection and value. You will work closely with suppliers, negotiating contracts and developing long-term partnerships to secure the best deals and maintain a competitive edge.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the biscuits category, driving category growth and profitability.
- Develop and implement category strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and consumer preferences.
- Negotiate contracts and build strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring a reliable supply chain.
- Manage the product range, selecting and introducing new products to meet customer demands.
- Monitor and analyze sales data, identifying opportunities for improvement and making data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to develop effective promotional strategies.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, maintaining high product integrity.
- Provide category insights and recommendations to the wider business, influencing decision-making.
