Role Overview
This role forms part of the frontline of a multi-disciplinary team, working with children and adolescents experiencing a crisis, within the borders of Hertfordshire. You will provide specialist assessments within the A&E setting, follow ups and short term interventions for young people aged under 18 suffering from acute and complex emotional, behavioural, and psychological crisis.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide crisis telephone line support, triage and assessment as well as face to face assessments, follow ups and brief interventions in the community.
- Most referrals currently come from the two A&E's in Hertfordshire, although with our new crisis telephone line we are trying to prevent anyone attending A&E if they do not have a physical need to be there.
- The C-CATT service operates 24/7, this role will involve day, evening, night and weekend working.

Requirements
- Relevant professional qualification
- Knowledge of Mental Health problems that affect young people
- An ability to work with Children and Young People in challenging situations.
- A car driver is an essential element to the role (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010 which prevents you from driving)
