About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior C# Developer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects across public, private, and third sectors, contributing to impactful digital solutions. The Senior Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust software applications using the.NET Core framework, coupled with modern web frameworks such as React, Blazor, or Angular.
Based at client locations, working remotely, or from our offices in Godalming or Milton Keynes, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers. The role involves understanding complex project requirements, proposing innovative solutions, and delivering high-quality, maintainable code that aligns with industry best practices.

As a key contributor, you will participate in code reviews, troubleshoot issues, optimize application performance, and document technical specifications. Your work will directly influence the success of national-scale projects, helping public sector organizations improve services and security. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold relevant academic qualifications such as a degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, or related fields. A minimum of 8 years of proven experience as a C# Developer or in a similar software development role is essential. You should demonstrate proficiency in C# programming, the.NET framework, including.NET Core, and have a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
Experience working within Agile or Scrum development methodologies is highly desirable. You should be familiar with relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, and ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are critical for success in this role. Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and version control systems like Git will be advantageous.
Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be willing and eligible to obtain security clearance (SC clearance). To qualify, you must have resided in the UK for at least five years and have the right to work in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality C# applications, components, and systems that meet project requirements.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and fellow developers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback and ensuring code quality across the team.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to identify issues, resolve bugs, and optimize performance.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in web development and software engineering to incorporate innovative solutions.
- Document code, technical specifications, and system architecture for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to refining development processes and methodologies, promoting continuous improvement within the team.
