About The Role
We are offering a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Junior C# Developer to accelerate their career within a highly technical trading environment. The successful candidate will join a growing technology team responsible for building and supporting high-performance, real-time software used within trading. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career developers who have already gained some commercial experience with C# and are eager to develop their technical skillset further. The position involves working closely with experienced software engineers, providing hands-on exposure to trading systems, real-time applications, and complex technical challenges that are typically not encountered in standard junior development roles.

Qualifications
- A strong academic background with at least a 2:1 degree in a STEM subject.
- Some commercial experience developing software with C#.
- Good understanding of .NET /.NET Core frameworks.
- Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
- Understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A genuine enthusiasm for software engineering and learning new technologies.
- Curiosity about how and why systems work, beyond just writing code.
- Effective communication skills and a willingness to learn from experienced developers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance applications using C# and modern.NET technologies.
- Work on real-time, performance-critical trading technology to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
- Learn directly from senior software engineers, gaining valuable insights and mentorship.
- Build new features and improve existing systems to meet evolving business requirements.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices.
- Work with SQL and relational databases to manage and manipulate data effectively.
- Investigate technical issues, troubleshoot production systems, and implement solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Gain exposure to performance optimisation, scalability, and system reliability strategies.
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
- Develop an understanding of professional software engineering best practices and methodologies.
