About The Role
We are seeking a skilled C# Developer to join a remote contract team supporting a major Open Banking and API integration project. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact workstreams focused on building and optimizing outbound REST API integrations within a payments and bank reconciliation environment. The initial contract duration is three months, with potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing robust backend solutions leveraging C# and .NET frameworks. The role requires a proactive individual capable of working independently, taking ownership of complex integration projects, and delivering high-performance, scalable code. You will play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation of large-volume data processes, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones and quality standards.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in C# development, particularly within .NET frameworks.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
- Experience working with SQL Server or similar relational databases.
- Familiarity with API security standards and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in financial services, banking, or payments industry is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend solutions using C# and .NET frameworks.
- Build and optimize outbound REST API integrations to support banking and payment processes.
- Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of integration services handling large data volumes.
- Collaborate with product managers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold quality standards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot API and database performance issues, implementing improvements as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of development processes and system configurations.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies relevant to backend development and API integration.
