What You Would Do
Typical responsibilities could include:
- Developing and maintaining C# applications using.NET and ASP.NET frameworks
- Building and integrating APIs and microservices within distributed system architectures
- Contributing to CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation using modern tooling
- Working with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS to deploy, scale and monitor applications
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams on design, code review and technical problem-solving
- Writing clean, maintainable code and contributing to technical standards across the team
- Supporting the integration of front-end frameworks such as React where applicable
- Participating in containerisation and orchestration work using Docker and Kubernetes

What You Could Bring
Most roles of this type require the following:
- 2–5 years' professional experience developing in C# and .NET / ASP.NET
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and software architecture patterns
- Experience building or consuming APIs and working with microservices
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and cloud-native development
- Working knowledge of SQL databases and data access patterns
- Experience with version control, CI/CD concepts and automated testing
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- Authorization to work in the United Kingdom
Nice-to-have experience includes:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)
- Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architecture or messaging patterns
- Familiarity with additional languages such as Java, Python or F5
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
- Understanding of BPMN, UML or data pipeline concepts
