What You Would Do
Typical responsibilities could include:
- Designing and developing C# applications and APIs using .NET and ASP.NET frameworks
- Building and maintaining microservices within distributed systems architectures
- Working with Azure cloud services, CI/CD pipelines and containerisation tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions
- Writing clean, testable code and participating in code reviews
- Contributing to technical design discussions and architectural decisions
- Supporting deployment and monitoring of applications in cloud environments

What You Could Bring
Most roles of this type require the following:
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET / ASP.NET frameworks
- Demonstrable experience building APIs and microservices
- Working knowledge of Azure cloud platform and CI/CD practices
- Experience with relational databases and SQL
- Familiarity with version control systems and agile development workflows
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Nice-to-have qualifications could include:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)
- Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Exposure to React or other front-end frameworks
- Knowledge of distributed systems design patterns
- Experience with automated testing and test-driven development
