About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal C# Developer / Engineer to join a dynamic and rapidly growing FinTech scale-up based in London, with flexible WFH arrangements. In this senior role, you will be instrumental in designing and developing highly scalable, high-performance software solutions using the Microsoft technology stack. You will work closely with cross-functional Agile teams, employing best practices and SOLID principles to ensure the timely delivery of robust software products. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence product architecture, drive innovation, and contribute to strategic initiatives such as integrating artificial intelligence into business processes. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will have significant visibility and the chance to make a tangible impact on the company's technological evolution.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and strategic thinking. Key qualifications include:

  • Proven experience as a Software Developer / Engineer with a strong background in C# backend development.
  • Experience with Python programming is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and experience building highly scalable systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, and Design Patterns.
  • Familiarity with modern development practices, including Agile methodologies and SOLID principles.
  • Interest or experience in Artificial Intelligence, including tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations effectively.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Architecting and developing scalable, high-performance software solutions using C# and the Microsoft technology stack.
  • Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other developers in Agile teams to deliver features in two-week sprints.
  • Implementing best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Driving the adoption of AI technologies within the business, exploring innovative solutions such as chatbots and process automation.
  • Participating in technical design discussions, code reviews, and mentoring junior team members.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, including optimizing system performance and enhancing security protocols.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate progress, and align on technical strategies.
