C# Developer - Risk Technology

Maven is a market-leading proprietary trading firm deploying its own capital across discretionary, systematic, and market-making strategies. Through advanced execution and pricing technologies, we improve how financial markets operate. You will join a small team, collaborating with traders, risk specialists and developers to help optimise and automate and enhance our risk systems, including reporting, position management, building new and innovative solutions. The team’s main responsibility is for middleware and backend services; we also develop full-stack solutions, including web-based front-ends. What you’re going to do: Design and develop sound solutions to support critical business functions with a focus on testability, maintainability, performance and resilience Craft great code and tests, using automation as your friend Analyse, capture and communicate your design decisions Interact and collaborate with stakeholders, SRE’s and Infrastructure engineers What you’re going to need: Strong analytical and system design skills Excellent C# ability including strong focus on testing processes .NET Core; CI/CD, containerization (Docker and/or Kubernetes) Nice to have: Knowledge of financial markets & securities (particularly equities, bonds, futures and options) Derivative pricing and risk management Python libraries (pandas, NumPy etc) SQL and large data handling experience Modern Front-end UI development experience, especially React and TypeScript Event-driven design, DDD, CQRS and/or EventSourcing experience for Multithreading, distributed design, message queues (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ), fault-tolerance, Prometheus, Grafana WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU Competitive compensation Group Pension plan Annual discretionary bonus Fully catered breakfast, lunch and snacks. 25 days’ annual leave Informal dress code Private healthcare and life assurance Cycle-to-work scheme Private Gym
