Embedded Software Engineer (C++/Embedded Linux)
Are you an Embedded Software Engineer who has actually developed embedded products from the ground up?
We're working with an established technology business seeking a Software Engineer to join their growing development team. This is a genuinely embedded role, and we're specifically looking for engineers with hands-on firmware/software development experience rather than general software developers whose primary exposure to C/C++ has been outside of an embedded environment.
You'll be developing next-generation network and cable test equipment, working on Linux-based embedded systems, touchscreen user interfaces, and cloud-connected products used by customers worldwide.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You
We're looking for approximately 3+ years of relevant experience, although we're far more interested in the quality and relevance of your embedded development experience than the exact number of years on your CV.
