Senior C++ Engineer – Ultra Low Latency Trading
📍 London (Hybrid)
💰 Base up to £250,000 + bonus + benefits
We’re hiring a Core C++ Engineer to help build and optimise ultra-low-latency trading infrastructure within a performance-driven environment. This is a deeply technical role focused on execution speed, system reliability, and pushing performance boundaries in real-time trading systems. If you enjoy working close to the metal and solving complex systems problems where microseconds matter, this could be a strong fit.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Architecting and enhancing high-performance trading infrastructure in modern C++ (C++20+)
- Developing low-latency order execution, market data handling, and risk components
- Optimising CPU usage, memory layouts, and multi-threaded systems
- Working with exchange connectivity protocols for market data and order entry
- Profiling and benchmarking live systems to reduce latency and increase throughput
- Collaborating closely with quants, traders, and infra engineers on performance improvements
- Ensuring reliability and resilience of production trading systems

What We’re Looking For
- Deep expertise in modern C++
- Strong background in low-latency systems programming
- Solid understanding of networking (TCP/UDP), concurrency, and multi-threading
- Experience developing and tuning systems on Linux
- Track record working in high-throughput, performance-critical environments
- Exposure to crypto or traditional financial trading systems preferred
