C++ / Java Software Engineer – Banking

Our banking client is looking for an experienced C++ / Java Software Engineer to join their technology team, developing and enhancing high-performance, business-critical systems within a complex financial services environment.

You will work across the full software development lifecycle, designing, developing and maintaining robust applications using C++ and Java, while collaborating with architects, product teams and other engineers in an Agile environment.

  • Strong commercial experience with C++ and Java
  • Experience developing high-performance, low-latency or enterprise-scale applications
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design and software engineering principles
  • Experience with multithreading, concurrency and distributed systems
  • Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • Experience with Linux/Unix environments
  • Exposure to Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices is desirable
  • Experience within banking or financial services, ideally within trading, risk, markets or other mission-critical environments
  • Strong experience with unit testing, CI/CD and Agile development
