C# /.NET Core / MVC / ASP.NET Developer – Contractor

Location: Office Based, Manchester, M32 0FP

Hours: Full Time – 6 Month Contract

Salary: £45,000 per annum pro rata

Crystal Ball is a Multi-Award-Winning vehicle tracking and lone worker service provider based in modern offices in Old Trafford. All solutions are developed by our talented in-house software development team. We are a successful financially sound business and are looking to grow the business in a high growth market. Our growing customer base extends across all business verticals serving small, medium and enterprise businesses as well as local government, throughout the entire UK.

The Crystal Ball system comprises of mobile phone / tablet client software (all major platforms) as well as scalable server-side architecture (C# /.NET Core / MVC / ASP.Net / SQL Server) and is developed and maintained entirely in-house and we are looking to grow this development team further.

An employment opportunity has arisen for an experienced ASP.Net / MVC /.NET Core Developer to focus primarily on projects relating to our Web Application interfaces using SQL Server 2016 as back-end.

To apply for this post, you will need to have considerable experience in .Net web application development using Microsoft Framework 4 and above and have a good understanding of application design and be proficient in the use of .NET Core, MVC and ASP.NET using C# and JavaScript.

We are looking for a competent Software Engineer with a proven track record of designing and delivering complex software solutions both front and back-end with a good working knowledge of SDLC.

You will need to have more than 5 years commercial programming experience to be considered for this position and will be expected to produce end to end solutions (full stack experience).

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and creating an asset management system functional area within our existing vehicle tracking application that will manage asset data, associated files via content / document management and interface with 3rd Party Rest-based API’s such as DVLA.

  • JavaScript Frameworks – e.g. JQuery

  • Web Services (soap / Rest)

  • Proven track record of designing / constructing non-SPA user interfaces
