About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Developer to join our technical team at N P Associates. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in the heart of The City, engaging in a broad spectrum of development activities. The successful candidate will bring existing technical expertise while also having the chance to develop new skills in emerging areas. You will be involved in the full development lifecycle, from designing and coding to testing and deployment, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of our business applications and internal systems. Your insights and input will be valued in shaping best practices for future projects, ensuring our solutions remain innovative, efficient, and aligned with business needs.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in software development with relevant experience in C# and.NET technologies. A thorough understanding of SQL Server database design, web application development, and API integration is essential. Candidates should have experience working with source control systems like Git and be familiar with modern development methodologies. A proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving, coupled with excellent communication skills, is vital. Desirable qualifications include experience with Azure cloud services, modern web frameworks, and legacy system migration. Knowledge of industry-specific environments such as financial services or regulated sectors will be advantageous.

Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining business applications, web portals, APIs, and internal systems using C# and .NET technologies.
- Analyzing business requirements and collaborating directly with users to craft practical technical solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support strategic goals.
- Supporting, modernizing, and migrating legacy systems to contemporary platforms.
- Designing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL Server databases to ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability, aligning with reporting and analytical needs.
- Developing reporting solutions, dashboards, and data extracts to provide management with accurate and timely insights.
- Working closely with stakeholders to identify reporting requirements and implement suitable data structures, database designs, and data capture processes.
- Producing and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation related to systems, processes, and integrations.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing development processes, automation, security, and operational efficiency.
- Providing application support and user assistance for internal systems, as well as supporting the company's IT infrastructure.
