C# .NET Developer | Angular | Azure Service Bus | £660 3 days on site | Energy Trading

A leading energy trading firm is looking to hire a C# .NET Developer to join a technical team responsible for modernising a business-critical Notification Management platform.

About the Role

The platform is used to distribute real-time market and internal alerts across the business. When an event occurs, such as a trade nomination or market alert, an event is sent to the Notification Manager API, which identifies users subscribed to that alert and ensures they receive the relevant update.

The existing application is built using legacy WinForms, and the business is now undertaking a modernisation programme to rebuild the front end using Angular while maintaining and enhancing the existing functionality. A key part of the application is a grid-based interface allowing users to manage subscriptions and select the alerts they are interested in.

The role will also involve modernising the underlying messaging architecture. The existing MSMQ implementation is being replaced with Azure Service Bus, creating a more scalable and cloud-ready event-driven solution. There are also plans to introduce Microsoft Teams integration, allowing notifications to be distributed through additional channels.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
