A Leading Global Investment Manager is Seeking an Experienced C# Software Engineer
A leading global investment manager is seeking an experienced C# Software Engineer to join a team responsible for building the technology platforms that underpin risk management, analytics, and decision-making across the business.
This is a high-impact engineering role focused on developing scalable, data-intensive systems used by risk managers and investment professionals on a daily basis. You'll work closely with engineering, data, and business stakeholders to deliver robust solutions that process large volumes of data while maintaining exceptional levels of performance and reliability.
The Opportunity
You'll join a highly collaborative team developing core risk and analytics infrastructure in a fast-paced environment where technology is viewed as a competitive advantage. The role offers significant ownership, exposure to business stakeholders, and the opportunity to contribute throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance C#/.NET applications supporting risk and analytics workflows.
- Build scalable platforms capable of processing and analyzing large, complex datasets.
- Partner with risk, engineering, data, and infrastructure teams to deliver business-critical solutions.
- Drive improvements in performance, stability, observability, and scalability across the platform.
- Champion engineering best practices including automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical challenges across distributed systems.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and the long-term evolution of the technology stack.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong commercial expertise with C# and.NET.
- Experience designing and developing scalable, high-performance backend systems.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Experience working with large datasets and performance-sensitive applications.
- Solid knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, and relational database design.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.

Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
- Exposure to Kubernetes and containerised applications.
- Knowledge of data warehousing technologies, including Snowflake.
- Experience with performance testing, regression testing, and system optimization.
- Background in financial markets, investment management, risk technology, or related domains.
