About The Role
We are seeking a skilled C++ Software Engineer with expertise in C++ and Python, ideally within the financial or banking sectors. This role involves developing high-performance, low-latency trading systems that handle substantial transaction volumes and support the sophisticated needs of global financial markets. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with product, infrastructure, and QA teams to design, implement, and maintain critical software components that drive efficiency and reliability. A strong understanding of equities, futures, options, fixed income, and exchange connectivity protocols such as FIX and SBE is highly desirable. Candidates at various experience levels, from intermediate to senior, are encouraged to apply, especially those with a background in critical systems development and low-latency environments.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in C++ development, particularly with C++ 11 and Boost libraries, creating scalable and performant applications. Proficiency in Python programming, including testing frameworks like Pytest, is essential. Candidates should have a solid understanding of networking protocols such as UDP, Multicasting, and TCP, along with experience working on Linux systems. Familiarity with capital markets exchange connectivity, including protocols like FIX and SBE, is preferred. A good grasp of modern software development methodologies, version control systems like Git, and agile practices such as continuous integration, sprints, and Jira are required. Knowledge of cloud technologies is a plus but not mandatory. Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and the ability to work effectively within a team are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities
- Develop, test, integrate, and document high-performance trading software components to meet stringent latency and reliability standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members and collaborate effectively across teams to ensure project success.
- Apply principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to solve complex trading and technological challenges.
- Participate as a Subject Matter Expert in internal reviews, code audits, and system design discussions.
- Tackle the most challenging technical problems facing the organization, leveraging creativity and innovation to develop effective solutions.
- Champion and adhere to industry standards, best practices, and processes throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Stay informed about emerging technology trends and advocate for process improvements and new ideas that enhance system performance and development efficiency.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development workflows, including CI/CD pipelines, testing practices, and project management tools.
