About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled C++ Software Engineer with proficiency in Python to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in developing high-performance, low-latency trading software that supports large transaction volumes across various financial markets. The ideal candidate will have a background in financial or banking environments, with knowledge of equities, futures, options, fixed income, and exchange connectivity protocols such as FIX and SBE. Experience with low latency systems and market data handling is highly desirable. As a key member of our development team, you will collaborate closely with product managers, infrastructure specialists, and QA teams to deliver robust, scalable, and efficient software solutions that meet the demanding needs of modern trading systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in C++ development, particularly with C++ 11 and Boost libraries.
  • Proficiency in Python, including experience with testing frameworks such as Pytest.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols including UDP, Multicasting, TCP, and messaging systems.
  • Experience working on Linux operating systems in a development environment.
  • Knowledge of capital markets exchange connectivity, including protocols like FIX and SBE.
  • Familiarity with modern software development practices, version control systems like Git, and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges creatively and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and document high-performance trading applications with a focus on low latency and scalability.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
  • Apply principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to create innovative solutions for complex trading problems.
  • Participate in internal reviews of software components, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.
  • Address and resolve the most challenging technical issues faced by the company, often requiring innovative and creative approaches.
  • Implement and promote standards, processes, and tools throughout the development lifecycle to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Stay current with technological advancements and propose new ideas or process improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components and systems.
