Qualifications

• A minimum of 2+ years of development experience in C++11, with a strong understanding of Boost libraries for creating performant and scalable applications.
• At least 2+ years of experience working with networking protocols such as UDP, Multicasting, TCP, and related messaging systems.
• Proven experience working on Linux operating systems in a professional environment.
• Solid grasp of modern development methodologies, including version control systems like Git and GitHub.
• Proficiency in Python programming, including experience with testing frameworks like Pytest.
• Familiarity with capital markets exchange connectivity protocols such as FIX and SBE, especially in equities, fixed income, and derivatives markets.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for tackling complex technological and trading challenges.
• Experience working within an Agile development environment, utilizing tools like Jira, continuous integration, and sprints.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and document high-performance trading software solutions that meet stringent latency and reliability requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Apply principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to solve complex system challenges.
• Participate as a Subject Matter Expert in internal reviews of software components and systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Address and resolve the most technically demanding problems faced by the organization, often requiring innovative and creative solutions.
• Implement and promote best practices, standards, and procedures throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Stay updated on emerging technology trends and advocate for the adoption of new tools and methodologies to enhance system performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components and adherence to project timelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, process optimization, and quality assurance.
