Overview
We're working with a highly regarded, technology-driven organisation in the financial sector that is looking to add a talented C++ Engineer to its London-based engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a deeply technical environment, working alongside exceptional engineers on the development of high-performance, large-scale systems.

What you'll be doing
- Designing and developing high-performance applications using C++, with Python used where appropriate.
- Building, maintaining, and integrating microservices within a distributed systems architecture.
- Developing platforms that process large volumes of data with demanding low-latency and high-throughput requirements.
- Collaborating closely with engineers and key stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient software solutions.
- Contributing throughout the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation through to deployment.
What they're looking for
- Strong commercial experience developing software in C++, with some exposure to Python.
- Experience building or integrating RESTful APIs within microservice-based architectures.
- A background working on large-scale, high-performance, or distributed systems.
- Experience within financial services is advantageous but not essential.
- A strong academic background, ideally with a degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
