About The Role

We are seeking a talented C++ Software Engineer with expertise in C++, Python, and a background in Financial or Banking sectors to join our dynamic development team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, low-latency trading software that handles large volumes of transactions per second. The ideal candidate will work closely with product managers, infrastructure teams, and QA specialists to deliver reliable and scalable solutions that support our global trading platforms. Candidates with experience in equities, futures, options, fixed income, and exchange connectivity are highly preferred. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment where innovation and technical excellence are valued.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in C++ development, specifically with C++11 and Boost libraries.
  • Proficiency in Python programming, including experience with testing frameworks such as Pytest.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols such as UDP, TCP, and Multicasting, along with experience in messaging systems and algorithms.
  • Solid experience working on Linux operating systems in a development environment.
  • Familiarity with modern software development practices, including version control systems like Git and GitHub.
  • Knowledge of capital markets exchange connectivity protocols such as FIX and SBE, especially for equities, fixed income, and derivatives.
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies, including continuous integration, sprints, Jira, and related workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a drive to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Prior experience in critical systems development, particularly in trading or financial technology, is advantageous.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies is a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, test, and document high-performance, low-latency trading software components.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and collaborate across teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Apply principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to develop complex trading systems.
  • Participate as a Subject Matter Expert in internal reviews of software components and system architecture.
  • Address and resolve the most challenging technical issues faced by the company, employing creativity and innovative thinking.
  • Implement and uphold standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on emerging technology trends and advocate for the adoption of new ideas and process improvements.
  • Work within an Agile environment, contributing to sprints, continuous integration, and collaborative planning using Jira and other tools.
  • Engage in exchange connectivity development, including protocols for stocks, fixed income, and derivatives markets.
