Job Description
Customer to Customer (C2C) Manager
Full time
Derby
What you will be doing:
An exciting opportunity for you to join the Trent XWB Value Stream as a Customer to Customer Manager is now available.
The Trent XWB Value Stream is at the heart of one of the most successful widebody aircraft programmes in modern aviation. The Trent XWB engine family is the exclusive powerplant for the Airbus A350 family, providing industry-leading efficiency, reliability, and long-range capability.
The Trent XWB value stream is responsible for the delivery of a large portion of Civil Aerospace profit which is generated by performing maintenance shop visits for our Customers. As we enter a sustained period of growth, shop visit volumes are forecast to increase materially over the next three years. By 2028, Trent XWB is expected to represent approximately 40% of all MRO events across the business. The volume of shop visits that we perform in any year is directly linked to the length of time that engine spends in the shop – less time in shop = more shop visit events. The C2C manager is responsible for leading a cross-functional IPT of Aftermarket Ops, Value Stream, and our global network of overhaul bases to reduce the time taken in shop, improve our operational performance, and deliver our financial commitments.
Responsibilities:
C2C Ownership and Improvements:
- Develop the 5-year vision & policy for Customer to Customer value stream management for Trent XWB through integration with Product Service Manager & Fleet Planning Manager.
- Own and integrate Value Stream governance for Aftermarket performance.
- Drive risk and readiness activities to ensure alignment to strategic plan.
- Provide insights to the business on C2C performance, existing constraints, and help identify fixes.
- Programme manage and deliver C2C/process improvements (individual projects e.g., RTS, TV workstream, improvements, MEC support etc. which will be individual inputs to the TRT burndown plan).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
